Increase Habitat

Cost: $10 million
Description: The goal of the project was to increase habitat that would
include increasing the acres of seagrass, wetlands, and reefs.
Outcome: The project was very successful with almost 2000 acres of new
habitat available. As of 1996, 1751 new acres of seagrass have been created.
There have been 21 wetland restoration projects that have yielded 200+ acres
of new wetlands, and 21 new reef sites have made 50+ acres of reefs available.
