Charlotte Harbor

Increase in Conservation, Preservation and Stewardship Lands

Category: Submerged, Intertidal, Wetland, and Upland

Cost: unknown

Description: The management conference is currently attempting to document 1998 baseline acreage of lands in conservation status. Afterwards, members will begin prioritizing the habitat types and locations of lands it most wants to acquire as fee or less-than-fee. Land acquisition programs in the Charlotte Harbor watershed have been actively buying lands prioritized by the State and local governments, and there exists many priority actions in the CCMP that pertain to this goal.

Outcome: This project has not yet been completed.
