Environmental Games Day

Category: Submerged, Intertidal, Wetland, and Upland

Cost: $15,000

Description: Traditional and other track and field games were properly adapted to turn them into environmental education resources reflecting the cultural, environmental and ecological reality of Puerto Rico. Children enjoyed a half-a-day of friendly competitions were they learned important ecological and environmental concepts about Puerto Rico's ecosystems, which focused primarily on the San Juan Bay Estuary.

Outcome: More than 1,200 children, parents and teachers participated in this activity. It was highly praised both by the participants as well as the public medio who covered the event.
